No the live pump will not fit off of a 400 onto a standard M. I do not know if the front cover will fit or not, but I really doubt it. Is the old M engine worth rebuilding? Depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to make a 100 hp puller, then no. But I don't think that is what you are doing. Most people don't want to put live hydraulics on a pulling tractor. So I would say, yes rebuild the stock engine and put a fire crater kit from Case IH or an M&W power up kit. You can also get an M&W live Hydraulic pump that hooks up to your belly pump resivoir and fits in the same place as the one on the SM. I think that it is about $600. Just my 2 cents worth. John C
