First off...many thanks to everyone here who has tried to help me figure this problem out! I inherited my grandfathers Super C a couple years ago and recently bought the family farm - 85 acres. I mowed once using the C and found that the water pump was broken and replaced it. I also was having problems with the battery keeping a charge. The tractor would run for about three hours - or until the battery died. Hearing about the problem, my dad decided to surprise me while I was away last year and converted the tractor to 12v...and it never ran right again! I could never get any power out of the thing. I cleared all the fuel lines, cleaned up the govenor, rebuilt the carburator, checked all the linkages, reset the timeing, replaced plugs and wires...you name it, I tried it! I was getting ready to check the rings - thinking perhaps a valve was sticking. when the tractor idled - it purred like a kitten - but under any load at all - just no power. Had a friend over that is a CAT operator and he listened to it and picked up on something immediately - the firing order was wrong! I could have sworn I checked that, but in the midst of everything else, must have missed it! Once that was corrected the old Farmall is back in the fields working like a horse again! Just something else to keep in mind for anyone having problems! Again, thanks for all the help.

We arrived hoping to meet up with a man we knew had over one
