Hey BB - I measured a new set of Super H disks on my parts shelf - they are 1/2" thick EXACTLY from surface to surface of the friction material. Your's sound worn but may still have some life left in 'em. I've cleaned up and de-glazed the cast iron braking surfaces with an orbital pad sander - results were pretty good. Can sometimes get more life from friction disks too giving them the same sander treatment to remove surface glaze...
