Fenders were an Option on all year H's. And to be honest, not a very popular option at that. The glass jar precleaner for the air intake was an option too. Most H's had just a dome shaped cap over the intake. Most tractors back in the late 30's and 40's were ordered by the dealers with functional items like PTO, Hyd. Lift-All, swinging drawbar, rubber tires, elec. starting and lights. the type of fuel used was an option. You could get kerosene, distilate, and gasoline fueled engines. Each type of fuel had special features such as different cyl. heads, manifolds, carbs, valves, pistons, cooling systems, etc. to burn the fuel efficiently.
