Sorry about your "M" situation. To do it right, sounds like a engine teardown, but shouldn't be too expensive if you provide the labor. I had a
similar situation with my F20. Ended up doing
a total overhaul. Sounds to me if you do a top end overhaul, you should be fine as long as you're not fouling plugs due to worn rings.
