H decal question

This winter I hope to paint the old brown 47 H and apply new decals. Every freshly painted H you see has nice straight decals. However, my H don't have a straight decal on it. Seriously, every decal on it is crooked. So...should I put them on straight, or document the position they are in and put new ones to match? Of course I would have to set up a photo display at shows so people won't think I suck at applying decals...Fireman
