In response to a post a couple of days ago about the 3 speed to 4 speed changeover in the W30's. My reprinted parts book shows both a 3 speed and a 4 speed available for all units before 15105. After that date only the 4 speed is listed. BTW 15105 is about 6 units into 1937. The 4 speed transmissions before and after the cut off have different part numbers. There were also different top speed versions of the transmission. I did not go into the parts list to find if there are major changes in the 4 speed transmissions. There were also parts kits to change a 3 speed to a 4 in the field. The way I interpret the parts book is that there was no changeover date, just a change from the 4 speed being an option to standard.
