LOTS of gears around those live Hyd. pumps. I'm not positive what the book suggests for disassembly, but the distributor has to be removed, the dist. drive housing, then the pump can come off, hoses disconnected, and then You can start reassembling. I think maybe You can pull the distributor and the drive housing off as a single unit.
