I’ve wanted an old tractor for ages. Over the last several years I’ve spent more time than I care to admit to doing research on old tractors on the net. Didn’t take me long to narrow it down to the red ones, and more specifically to the Farmalls. (I’m red headed and drove a 140 many years back during summers working for my uncle.) I’d pretty much settled on the Super A or the Cub. Finally decided I probably should get the Super A but couldn’t get past wanting one of them dang cute early Cubs and the wife and kids votes made it unanimous. So last month our family became the proud owners of a ’49 Cub with a 42” belly mower. I’ve spent lots of time since I bought it wishing I had more grass to mow. And a lot of time reading through this forum and the archives to learn all I can about Cubs. Which explains the subject line of this post. I really appreciate all the wonderful and friendly advice that has been given to all the questions I haven’t had to ask because someone else has already asked them. You’re a great bunch of folks and I plan to be here often. Thanks again.
