'53 Super H Carbutor Rebuild

I ordered an after market rebuild kit for the SH and when it came it said it was for an M (I called company and they said it was the same as SH) I now have problem with black smoke and fowling plugs. Where can I get specs on rebuild and is the M kit same as the 53 carb rebuild kit?
