I got into Farmalls when I found a SMTA that the owner said was stuck and that he should sell it sometime. I asked how much as I was a JD guy. He said $100. Had after market 3 point, live hydraulics and live PTO. Justified to wife that I could sell the parts for what I was paying. Now with new pistons, sleeves and rod bearings, different camshaft, about 7 times through the carb and a lot of misc parts including tires, it is a good runner. Just couldn't stand to part it out and had to see it run, then had to see it run right. Is now a useful tractor but still needs a TA. Anyway I sympathyze with you, hard to tear one apart to fix another, especially if it is still all there and works.
