The Fire Crater pistons were 3 3/16 inch diameter as opposed to 3 1/8 for the cast iron pistons. The valve clearances were .014 inch intake and .020 inch exhaust with the Fire Crater pistons. If I remember right the advance was changed to 24 -25 degrees as opposed to 17-19 degrees. I could be wrong on the advance
