A neighbor of mine has an IH 240 Utility that she wants to sell, and frankly I'd like to own. The book price range goes from 1200 to 5700 so that isn't much help. It is a clean tractor, good rubber, chains, two point, cab and a loader with two buckets. Interestingly enough off the back of the cab are two arms that extend down from the top of the cab to the rear at about at 20 degree angle. Did these tractors have something like a small backhoe available for them? Or, what are the arms for, they look stock. The hydraulics are run off a front mounted pump with the grill guard used as the resovoir and return to the pump. So can anyone help me out with a reasonable price to offer her. I don't want to steal it, but would like to know a fair price. I believe it has about 3500 hours on it. Thanks.
