Randy - The fan/water pump pulley is split, similar to the pulley on the generator. The front flange half of the pulley is threaded onto the hub and is locked in place with a set screw. Loosen the fan hub flange by backing the set screw out 8 - 10 turns, then use a hammer and punch working on the hub dogs to unscrew the front flange. A good dose of PB Blaster or similar lubricant on the hub threads first is helpful... You should be able to thread the new gen belt on without completely removing the fan belt. After loosening the fan pulley, work the fan belt off the crank pulley. Then lift it out of the fan pulley groove and let it hang on the fan hub. Now work the new gen belt over the fan blades, under the loosened fan belt and back into it's groove on the fan hub. Finally remount and tighten the fan belt. ...Bob M
