IH makes a 301 diesel which is the 282, but runs in the block like a 301 gas. You can't run 301 gas pistons in your 560 diesel, but you could bore the 282 block to accept the 301 diesel pistons. Everything else interchanges. The 301 diesel was used in 715 combines and maybe cotten pickers.
