The Mitsubishi alternator for a 1989 Hyundai Excel appears to have the same electrical hookup as the internal regulator Delco from the late 70's and several other years. The Mitsubishi is a bit smaller. It will require a different pulley from the serpentine belt style with which it is equipped. For BIG$$$, Jegs High Performance has small frame single wire alternators. Search for Jegs using the Google search engine.
