560 Hydraulic Leak

I just bought a 2-point tool bar mount at an auction and attached it to a John Deere pull-type rotary hoe. I don't know if the 560 didn't like lifting this green equipment or what, but all of a sudden I had a stream of hydraulic fluid coming out from under the seat. I removed the seat mount to expose the hydraulic lines. I could not find the source of the leak except for the o-rings in the block at the back of the seat mount. What is the function of this block? I could not find any reference to it in my IT shop manual.
