depends on which pistons you have was is for gasoline only or was it for distillate any where from 14 to 18 or so there were a lot of different compressions used check the parts and you will find a lot of different set ups available guessing that one that old might have been 4.5 compression or more no big deal are you going to pull in competion good engines come over and i can show different types of stuff unreal what they made
