You may be tempted to try to remove the flange that the seal is in, but you cannot remove that without taking out the bull gear inside the final drive. People have tried to pull it out and break the bearing support on the inside. You need to pry the seal out from the outside unless you plan to do major surgury. If it is one of the original seals they aren't easy to get our because they are so thick. Roger
