When I cleaned up my B, I used a putty knife a LOT, a couple spoons from the kitchen (actually from a thrift store), a few wire brushes, a gallon or two of kerosene, dental picks (I wanted it really clean), a paint scraper like you would use on house siding, a few wire brushes, a wire wheel in a drill, a utility knife, you get the picture. Got it clean enough to eat off from without a pressure washer. Didn't actually eat off it, but tried to talk my son-in-law into it. He wouldn't, but not because it wasn't clean.
