I had 2 F-150's with the 300-6, the bore is 4.00" and 3.98" stroke. The oversize bore of the M is 4.00" too. But like You say, the wristpin size and location would have to be checked. I'm not 100% positive, but the rod length on the M is 10" I think, either that or only 8", so the little 6" long Ford 300-6 rod won't work in the M. Out of ALL the 300-6 Fords I've ever heard about, the rods are the only thing I've ever heard fail. One was in a huge forklift in a foundry and got beat to death all day every day for years, and the other one was in a truck with over 200,000 miles. Real good little motor actually!
