Sam, I have bought and sold tractors with personnel checks without any problem. Only one Guy stiffed me and I send the part trusting he would send a check, he didn't. So out of 10/15 years of buying and selling one time isn't bad. I do however like to receive cash when i'm out on the road delivering a tractor or parts, only reason is that some banks either charge you or don't want to cash the check even if it's written on their bank at times. I think if you know the person or have a knowledge of the person a check is fine, I have no heartburn off a person ask me for a bank draft or certified check or cash to pay for a tractor. only my two cents
