MY M runs but needs some adjustments. I am sort of doing this backwards because i have already cleaned it and painted it. I plan to go through the cooling systems to clean, flush out and replace gaskets and thermostat. I am planning on using the method suggested here(1/4 cup of dawn). I also want do as much as i can to clean scale and rust and then protect the engine passages. What is the best way to do this with the least tear down. I also plan to do the same with the lubrication system. Remove Pan and clean the oil pump. Remove the valve cover and clean sludge and hopefully adjust valves. Then i will do the same for the tranny and hydrolics. Probably add diesel and run a while to flush and clean. Drain and and new oil. Main question concerns cleaning oil and water passages. Can and should i blow out with air or pressure washer with or without soap. I have printed a lot of tips off here but if you have some that i haven't mentioned i would appreciate hearing them. After the cleanings i will clean and replace ignition parts as needed. I will also remove plate on governor and i have already put a Carb kit in. What else along these lines? Any warnings! Ya'll are great! Thanks for any help in advance
