Someone offered to lend me a floor jack when I was going to take my pump out, but since I have a dirt (sand) floor I didn't think that was practical. So I stuck a 14 inch 3/8 bolt in each of the holes in the bottom where IH intended the special handles to be inserted, tied ropes to the bolts, and ran the ropes through two come-a-longs, one on each side, suspended from a ceiling beam. As soon as I loosened the last bolt from the hyd. unit it dropped two inches to the stretch of the ropes, flipped upside-down, and landed on its head. Guess I'm lucky it wasn't my head. That's what the little knobs on the side of IH's special handles are for. I think balancing it on a jack would be a little tricky, too, but my thinking doesn't mean much.
