point is 6v gen dont make 12v try it and you could make good money put 6v fields in a 6v gen and make it work why when they went to 12v they had different armatures and field coils if the old 6v gens would make 12v why would you make a new one basic electricity english doesent make voltage get a basic science book and then we will go from there try it yourself why are so many people on this site having trouble with their old tractors in the charging systems BECAUSE THEY DO NO UNDERSTAND DIRECT CURRENT SYSTEMS probab;y have fixed more than you have seen my 11 or so start and run any time glad to have you come over any time 6v pos gnd forever on the old A,B,C,H,M, thank you very much gene b
