C.H.Wendel's book "150 yrs of International Harvester" shows one of them running a hammermill feed grinder. They could be used for pumping water, running a small elec. generator, actually anything that the old hit-and-miss single cyl. stationary engines were used for that rewuired more HP. IHC also made power units out of the A/B/C engines, the H, M and W-9 and several other engines MUCH larger that those used in the ag tractor line. Clyde's book shows them very well.
