I'd be interested in comments on this but it seemed to me as a kid growing up in the 60's that a lot of farmers wouldn't spend the money on good antifreeze and used the cheaper methanol in their tractor radiators. In warmer weather it tended to over heat and I'm thinking one of the reasons so many shutters are missing is that farmers took them off thinking it would help the air flow and cooling. Any thoughts on this?
