If you are planning on using your current generator, you will need a 12 volt regulator, 1195 light bulbs and a resistor in the coil line. NAPA part number 13 ICR. Some folks leave the generator alone. I take mine into an alternator shop and have them convert it to 12 volt. The rebuild with a new Delco Remy voltage regulator runs around $130 or so. You will not have to do anything with the starter. It will simply crank faster. If you want to go the alternator route, Ken Updike now has a package with generator, bracket, etc. 608-455-2411. He is on vacation this week but will be in next Monday.
