Richard.....just painted one of my "H's" last week.....you're correct the most you can take off the better.....I haven't taken the frame rails off to paint....if you have a pretty good gun, you can get them fair goodwhen your on the creeper spraying the under side of the tractor.....and alot of help is if you have 4 heavy duty jack stands ....put her up an take off te tires(rims are painted different color anyway....and if you can take fuel tank off also is a big help.....there are different degrees of prep....if you have a sand blaster is nice to cut most of rust and etc....then DA the rest....I can keep going but that will give you a start.....I've painted my 7 tractors over the last 4 years and it don't pay to be in a rush.....expect at the min. to take couple weeks....the one I just finished took 8 days..!!.. any more questions e-mail me are someone else here will help....Good Luck....
