Joe, Shouldn't need to change the amp gauge after a conversion. I'd be suspect of the gauge in the 350 if it deflects to 80 as I know of no alternator or generator that puts out that kind of amperage for a tractor. Usually with a fully charged battery, you should only see about +2-3 amps of charge at high revs and maybe nothing at low idle./FB
