Yup, a fair trade indeed. Just did that very same thing twice this summer with my 1950 Ford F-6 flatbed truck, and just a week ago did that with my 1945 Farmall A. On the A I used oven cleaner, was very happy with the results. Takes paint off better than the varsol. I either case a full face shield while pressure washing is a good idea, but if you do that you will need a couple dry towels handy.
