I did one this summer. Loosen up your hub on axel and remove wheel. This is a real bear of a job. Check that your keyway is ok, not getting loose. for the seal just remove endcap and replace seal, it like 4 1/2" bolts, pretty easy. The bearing is another job. in the book it says to remove trans cover, this means seat steering post, gas tank etc. A shortcut is to drain rearend( a good time to change fluid anyway)and remove the PTO shaft. then use this for access to get to the axle retaining bolt. this is bolted thru the bull gear and holda the axle in. It uses an 1 1/8" socket I belive.after bolt is removed, remove the bolts around the outside that hold the axle housing and remove. pull straight out, a cherry picker is nice to use for this. remember to block the bull gear up inside the housing with a piece of 2x4. It seems that you have to remove 2 split bearing retainerers from the inside of the axle housing. then give the axle a good rab with a big hammer cussioned with a wood block. Remove bearing and race and reasemble. The bearing was about $75 from dealer, seal about $16.00. Check your axle for wear at both the bearing jounal and seal surface. Axle was $100.00 used. Both a M and 400 axle fit. It uses about 2 1/2 5 gal pails of gear lube. Not to bad of a job as a whole. good luck
