I just had my starter rebuilt on the 340
Utility, but the starter shop had replaced
the old selnoid with a new one, which wasn't
the right one, I went to the IH dealer and
they had found the new stock number, once
they new that, it went from the shelf into
my hand, it looked just exactly like the old
one, so if you bring your starter in, ask for
the old selnoid back, even though even if it
isn't any good, it will help you find the right
one, in case that one doesn't work. Good Luck P.S. I will be doing a complete wiring and
all new switches this weekend. Distributor,
plugs, you name it.
