The A has an outward-bulging crease on the sides of the hood that runs parallel to the top of the hood. The 100 hood has a depression on the side of the hood where the "FARMALL" nameplate would be located.

Dave T mentioned the casting dates, which is a good way to identify the year. They are on the major castings, and they look like this:

where the star here represents what looks like the head of a screw. Look for casting codes on the engine, the transmission, the axle housings, etc. and post your findings. We'll tell you what year - and hence model - of tractor you own. HTH
