better check the bendix if it starts one tractor it should start another UNLESS your ring gear is bad that can bind up a bendix real easy take the starter oun and turn engine over and look a all the teeth in the ring gear might just need a good bendix this is why i get a rebuilt one for 83 exchange get guarantee new bendix saves lots of problems hard to find a good shop that even knows how to test one those old timers have retired new guys dont have a grouwler to test the arm nor a lite to test the fields better off with rebuilt saves a lot of running around
