In the summer of 1993, I took a driving trip through Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, and Iowa. If you all recall, that was during the great flood of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. The devastation of that was truly amazing. But..to me the corn and soybeans through Iowa and Illinois was even more amazing. Hundreds and Hundreds of miles of nothing but lush fields of crops. I hope your wife makes it home safely! She made the right decision to drive. The way things look, there is no guarantee of a flight even by Sunday.
