Thanks for the responses guys, I really appreciate them. I am curious though, should there be a huge difference in price between buying original Case/IH parts, to what I assume are "aftermarket" components from places like yesteryears tractors ? Also, what about quality ? I don't plan on ever really using this tractor for much more than mowing and snow removal. Another thing that has been on my mind is trying to keep the original pistons. The pistons are the original cast ( 3" ), I think the sleeves were bored already and my thoughts are that there is way way to much clearence. I think it is also worth mentioning again that the bearings in the front bearing seems to shot, and the pin busings in the connecting rod/piston are shot, especially in the first cylinder where that bearing is worn on the crank. Thanks again guys, I'm looking forward to getting this tractor running well.
