Always amazes me how at times CASE/IH can come in at either surprisingly high or low prices. A good aftermarket overhaul kits will serve your purposes just fine. Be sure to take all measurements. Kinda sounds as if this engine was patched together at some point. With that kind of slop between sleeves and pistons, it's fortunate that it did'nt come apart and really break things. You are starting what may one of the more rewarding projects a person can do. Good Luck. Rick
