Tim.....I've done the same in restoration projects and have found that I "Bite the Bullet"....and take it to a rad. shop....all they need is the top and bottom plates that the tubes are soldered to and they can retube it......and then you don't have to worry about it again ever....if you take care of it properly.....in "75" I had a "H" rad. done and in "89" a "M" rad done that way and are still going strong..no worrys...is a little expensive but worth it.....Good Luck.....
