McCormick and Deering tractors were painted grey untill the later part of 1936. This would include your 1928 10-20. In later 1936 McCormick and Deering started painting tractors red. This would include the later model F-20's which replaced the old 10-20 tractor. If a tractor was equiped with rubber tires the rims for a red tractor were silver and the rims for a grey I think were red or orange, not sure on grey tractor rims as to what color originally.
