Carb. rebuild kits

I recently went to my Case /IH dealer to order a rebuild kit for my 240's Zenith carb. There were two kits avalible. They said that there sould be a number 87 or 88 somewhere on my carb depending on which one I had. I can't find an 87 or an 88 anywhere on my carb. I did find the part number though. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two rebuild kits? Would the part number be enough to order the kit?
