Jim, I am restoring a 44 H with kerosene capacity. I am quite sure the line from the smaller tank to the sediment bowl was looped. I removed the line on mine because it was so badly beaten and it was looped. I went to a tractor wrecker for some parts and the line on that H was looped as well. Also all those lines were copper. There was a recent discussion on this forum about copper versus steel and people were recommending steel. I don't understand that argument...Farmalls came from the factory with copper fuel lines and its never been my experience that they break off and cause tractor fires. Our 39 M has the original copper lines, still like new,,so I don't know about you but I am putting coppper looped lines on both of my H's.......Good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario.
