Gear oil for 350 diesel engine

I own a 350 Farmall Diesel and in the service manual it says to use 10 w motor oil for gear oil and add 2 quarts of torque amplifier oil to the gear oil.Does anyone use anything else , AND CAN YOU STILL BUY TORQUE AMPLIFIER OIL.WOULD LIKE TO USE SOMETHING ELSE.
