I have a Model A. The manual for the A states that in colder weather it is expected that you will add kerosene to the tranny and PTO box to aid in lubrication. My A is a recent purchase. The fluid in my tranny and PTO are very thick as well. Once the temperature warms up enough so I can work on it, I plan on adding kerosene to help clean out the inner workings before I drain and replace the lubricants. Douglas Stockman
