Could accomplish exactly what you describe using the snow blade lift pump most 4x4 PU's around here (upstate NY) already have on them. Simply provide a selector valve ahead of the blade cylinder, and a 4-way valve and plumbing to hydraulic Q/D fittings mounted beneath the rear bumper. Also would need an auxiliary reservoir (a couple gallons at least) to supplement the tiny reservoir usually supplied with snowblade systems. Won't lift fast as tractor hydraulics, but for picking up and hauling implements down the road it would work fine - and would be cheap to install.
