A friend of mine had trouble with thieves in his tool shed. He use a mixture of oxygen and acetalene in a old 2 gal oil can that was set off
with some heater wire out of an old toaster and a 12 volt battery with a switch riged to the door. Its only a concusion device but it can be heard for a mile and if you are in a metal building with it your ears will ring for a day or two that was the end of his problem.
