How did you hook it up? It should just be a feed line and return line setup. I have a charlynn unit on my 300 set up that way. I assume you tried reversing the hoses? You may have some dirt in unit that causing your problems.

As far as parts availability goes,
Seal kits are still available from Eaton, but you're out of luck for any other parts. It's hard to say what parts are bad or damaged without tearing the unit down.
