After installing a new Case/IH head gasket and a freshly rebuilt head torqued to 65 ft. lbs. on my Super C, it only took two hours to have the new anti freeze/water misture seeping out almost all the way around the head gasket and enough to make it run down the sides of the block. The tractor had not been started (Battery was low). I left it sit for two days and the seeping continued. Pulled the head back off and found a green corrosion in all the water jacket holes on the distributor side of the head gasket. No corrosion on the manifold side. Droplets of anti freeze was also present on top of the pistons. The gommets around the holes in the gasket were almost corroded away Tonight I replaced the head gasket with a new Victor torqued everything back down, changed the oil and started the tractor. No leaks! Anyone ever have this problem? Dealer is stumped just like me and the machine shop that did the head. Machine shop did hot tank the head but after that is was bead blasted and then steam cleaned so I don't think it was something in the head//FB
