I emailed Joe this: Subject: I get sick watching you part these tractors out I know you make a good deal of money and you probably keep 10 tractors running by parting out one tractor. What makes me sick is that you buy some of the best looking tractors out there...completely restored...and then part them out. Heck a part is a part, why don't you buy tractors in worse shape and part them out and sell the restored tractors to people who love to see restored tractors. The next time you get a fully restored Farmall...I'll trade you for one of my Farmalls for your in better condition...I bet you still come out on top:) Mostly I'm just jealous because your tractors are so much nicer than mine...wish I had yours and you had mine to part out. Good luck, Todd JOE REPLIED TO MY EMAIL-> Hi, I tried it your way and paid a lot of money shipping part back that were not up to par or did not work. It works a lot better for me to sell the best possible parts I can find. People are willing to pay for quality. The best way to get the best parts is to buy what someone has already did the work on. It makes me sick too, I wished I could afford to keep them all. thank you joe

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
