Like Guy said below, the first 1937 tractor was built on nov 1, 1936. That was when they started the new year. It's the same way that you can buy a 2002 car right now. What color it is now doesn't matter. You never know how much has been changed. After all the tractor is 65 yrs old. You never know if the engine or other parts have been replaced. If you have a 1936 serial #, it should be gray. Of course the tool box (with the serial # plate) could be from another tractor too.
